The month of July was for 16 students from Poland a time that they spent on the internships as Carpenters, Geodetic Surveyors and, IT technicians. They were accompanied by the teacher who did job shadowing in geodesy. During their stay, they carried out several tasks, such as:
- Supporting installation of wooden furniture and other carpentry elements
- Preparing the workplace and keeping it in order, preparing the necessary tools to work
- Cutting materials with hand and electric tools, and assemble, cut or shape elements
- Performing work related to the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in carpentry
- Getting familiar with the working methodology of the geodetic surveyors
- Creating topographic bases, reviews and reports
- Importing data from EXCEL into AutoCAD
- Designing local topographic networks
- Installing, assembling and upgrading hardware
- Examining and diagnosing hardware
- Dismantling, reassembly and replacing of simple electrical, electronic and mechanical components
- Determining the cause of the fault and the required spare parts for intervention
During the 3 weeks of the internship, all participants could enjoy more than only working. Activities such as Seville tour and tapas night let participants get to know Spanish culture. On the top of that, students attended a Spanish language course. Also, they visited Cadiz, Gibraltar and, Tavira (Portugal).
