About This Project

Sixteen Polish students from Gliwice visited Spain to spend some time working as surveyors and learning new things. During their 2-week internship in Seville, they expanded their knowledge about geodetic surveying and drones. What is more, the students experienced Spanish atmosphere thanks to a great number of cultural activities organized by euroMind.

The young interns were taught the basics of photogrammetry. The host company showed them different drone models and mentioned the important drone regulations in Spain and EU. Then, they could try their best at operating a drone simulator and later a real drone. The students also collected the data and edited it which let them gain some professional experience.

Additionally, the group took a dynamic Spanish course which gave them a chance to learn many practical words and phrases. They also visited the Real Betis Balompié Stadium and saw a flamenco show. During the tapas night and the city tour, Polish students got to know the most beautiful places in Seville and had a possibility to try Spanish cuisine. The interns went on a trip to Faro, which combines an extensive history, interesting tourist attractions and an abundance of Portuguese charm.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Izabela Kępka

During those two weeks I had the opportunity to learn how to fly a drone and how to use programs related to them, Erasmus also provided me with a professional training in the basics of the Spanish language, I also visited many attractions and monuments of Spain and I tried local dishes. I consider the stay in Seville as successful, I am glad that I could participate in this type of project.
