About This Project

In May a group of Polish students were hosted in Seville in order to participate in a three-week professional internship program, gaining practical experience in landscape architecture, geodetic surveying with drones, and building maintenance.  In the landscape architecture field, the interns worked on project presentations, learned about essential design elements, and carried out gardening tasks including pruning and tree felling. Also, the geodetic surveying interns learned to plan flights, create orthophoto maps, process images, and use ground control points for data collection. The building maintenance interns performed various maintenance tasks such as electrical, plumbing, painting, and locksmithing. Overall, the practical training provided valuable skills and knowledge for the students’ future careers in their respective fields.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

OLIWIA PANEK

The internship in Spain was very interesting for me. Atmosphere in company where I worked was very pleasant. I mainly worked in the AutoCAD computer program where I created a topographic map of the road, which I first measured. I created a design of a vertical wall next to the tramway track. I also created a terrace development project after measuring it and went to a garden store to choose plants for planting pots on the terrace, later I transferred my project to AutoCAD. Thanks to Spanish lessons I improved my Spanish and English. The internship in Seville was an amazing experience for me and I recommend everyone to experience such an adventure.

MARIA BOROŃ

Thanks to the Erasmus+ programme, I did an internship abroad in Seville, Spain. It was a wonderful and unforgettable adventure. The internships allowed me to deepen my knowledge of landscape architecture. Through a visit to the nursery, I was able to get to know the local vegetation and meet its requirements. Thanks to the fact that our practice consisted of designing a terrace, I had the opportunity to learn how to work with AutoCAD and Tinkercad. During the trip I also had the chance to break my language barrier through Spanish lessons that took place after the internships. These practices were great, and I recommend everyone to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
