About This Project

A excellent group of 15 students from Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych im. I. Domeyki w Bolesławcu (Poland) arrived to Seville in April to carry out their 3-week internship. The students worked as Solar Panels Installers.

Through the internships they were able to recognize the types of  photovoltaic cells and measure voltage, as well as using a multimeter according to the inclination grade. In addition, the students built a wooden space on the roof. They also installed their electrical system and connected it to the solar panel.

During their free days, excursions were organised to Malaga and Olhao in Portugal. They were able to immerse themselves in Spanish culture by participating in a language and cultural programme and discovering the famous Spanish tapas and churros. We are delighted to have been able to welcome this school to Seville once again.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Konrad Skrzypacz

My internships in Spain went very well. Our tutor was Manuel. In the first lessons I learned about the types of renewable energy and their use. Later we were divided into groups and proceeded to assemble the layout. We needed the layout to connect the solar panels in a small wooden house that we assembled ourselves. In addition, we learned how to use the computer program AutoCAD.

Appart from the practical lessons, we had other activities, such as Spanish lessons, a city tour or a trip to Malaga and Olhao. I enjoyed all these activities. The rest of my free time was spent relaxing in the residence or going out with friends. My favorite activity was the aforementioned trip to Malaga.

During my practices in Seville I learned many different things that I did not have the opportunity to learn in Poland, including the assembly and connection of solar panels. The teacher conducting the classes was Mr. Manuel who could perfectly communicate with us. One day we went to Abengoa as part of the practice to see the practical application of solar panels. Internships were conducted in a pleasant atmosphere and in safe conditions. After arriving in Spain, we went to visit Sevilla together and find out where the internships will be conducted. There were also two trips to Malaga and Portugal. I spent my free time with my friends mainly outdoors. I really enjoyed the trip and would like to repeat it.
