In April 2019, Euromind had the pleasure to welcome 20 polish students to do an internship in different companies located in the Andalusian capital. The trainees were willing to work as administratives, IT technicians, car mechanics and Computer Numerical Control operators. They were assigned to different companies depending on their preferences to do the internship for 2 weeks. They had different tasks depending on the field they worked in.

Students working in the field of administration could work in sevillan companies and had to provide customer service in a professional, courteous and friendly manner, create and modifie documents using Microsoft Office, but also perform general office duties, using a photocopier, printer, and scanner and prepare, scan and place documents in electronic and paper filing systems. They also could improve their skills realizing tasks such as: Maintaining and managing inventory control of materials and suppliers, processing sales invoices, receipts, and payments, analyzing prices and purchasing office supplies, providing appropriate organization of invoices and maintaining and updating records management database systems.

Those working as car mechanics were mainly using counters and applying the knowledge of metrology, interpreting plans and technical pictures, operating and monitoring machines for cutting, drilling and grinding the metal, checking the results of operations and if it is not satisfactory, call the adjuster, preparing elements for turning, cleaning, lubricating and carrying out maintenance of the machine, operating CNC Machines, analyzing information derived from technical documentation, taking care of the order at the place of work.

Students working as IT technicians learned to Install , assemble and upgrade hardware, check the electrical connections of the various hardware components, repair or replace broken parts (troubleshooting), examine hardware, read electrical and electronic diagrams, localize the components in the computer, manage the use of measuring and control devices, replace and assemble simple electrical , electronic and mechanical components and determine the cause of the fault and the required spare parts for intervention.

Finally, students working as a Computer Numerical Control operator could improve their skills doing some tasks such  using counters and applying the knowledge of metrology, interpreting plans and technical pictures , operating and monitoring machines for cutting, drilling and grinding the metal, checking the results of operations and if it is not satisfactory, call the adjuster, preparing elements for turning, cleaning, lubricating and carrying out maintenance of the machine, the replacement of turning tools, operating CNC Machines, analyzing information derived from technical documentation, taking care of the order at the place of work.

Besides the work placement, all of them could learn more about Spanish culture and Andalusian spirit thanks to Spanish lessons and a city tour organized by Euromind team. They also had the opportunity to enjoy the sunny weather and some free time visiting Cordoba and Faro.
