About This Project

At the beginning of april, a group of 13 students from Třinec, Czech Republic, were hosted by euroMind in Malaga to gain a 3-weeks internship as Administrative Assistant and IT technician.
Each student got a unique experience and they were working in two different host companies and positions.

In the administrative field, students had the opportunity to acquire new skills in document management and creation using computer tools to perform in general office duties. Thus they were able to process sales invoices, receipts and payments or to research prices and purchasing office supplies. They also learned how to read, understand and classify financial paperwork. In addition to perform on software, they develop their professional ability to meet customer needs, providing them a professional, courteous and friendly response.

For the other part, IT technicians, they were able to develop and enrich their knowledge in the field of hardware by having the opportunity to repair, replace, examine and diagnostic hardware. In this way, they learned how to do a checking for the electrical connections of the various hardware components but also recognize the different components in a computer.

At first, trainees were visiting the Malaga city center. In fact, Malaga is one of the oldest cities in the world. The tour passed by ruins from The Roman, Moorish and Christian civilizations including various monuments of the city.

They had the opportunity to discover the city of Mijas. This place is known for its “white towns.”, a mountain hamlet famous for its donkey taxis, breathtaking views, and quaint streets. In the city, the trainees could participate in a chocolate-making activity and take a sweet gift home with them.

Students also went to Benalmadena, where the Colomares Castle was built to honor Cristóbal Colón’s discovery of the American continent. It’s fascinating to learn about the materials used to construct the castle: brick, stone, and cement. The journey was rich in impressions, sights, stairs, and delights.

During their stay, students received proper Spanish courses from our Spanish teacher, and we placed a strong emphasis on practice, therefore students play a lot in class since we believe that the game is the best teacher. When it comes to characterizing Spanish classes, two features come to mind: dynamic and practical. As a result, following a time of hard and tough study, the students were required to write a test. Every single one of the participants achieved a perfect score!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

I must say that working with people who do not speak your language is interesting. You will learn just how much your gestures account for your communication, and you do not need to use complex words or sentences to create jokes, because fun is an internationally understood language in itself.

My working environment always felt safe, clean and meaningful.

Without a doubt, I can exclaim that behind every step, there was an experience.

From me, to you: “It was worth it.”

Hola! I must say that you could not have picked a better boss than Ruben because he was very kind and helpful. Every time I needed help, he showed me exactly the way to do it. During my practice, I have learned a lot about changing components in mobile phones, Pcs and laptops. I also worked on some software, like reinstalling windows or repairing Wi-Fi by updating drivers. I also went out a few times to get some food with our boss after work because he wanted to show us local food, and it tasted great.

I really enjoyed the practice here in Spain because I enjoyed the work we did, and I learned a lot of things. Chief Carlos was very nice to us. I would have easily stayed here even longer, and I would recommend Erasmus experiences to anyone who has a choice to go somewhere.
