In July 2019 a group of 19 motivated students came to Seville to start their new adventure in the field of geodesy and drones. The Host Organization where the internship took place was an expert company of professional drones which specialize in the development and use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems and in the field of spatial photogrammetry, topographic and film audiovisual systems. Rich experience and unique technical abilities allow the company to offer solutions of outstanding quality and precision. Thanks to the supervisors, students had a great chance to gain professional experience and learn from the bests.
The interns got to know the regulations in Spain and the EEC as well as learned about different options of drone models and the basics of photogrammetry. They also got the knowledge of how to plan flights according to requirements. What is more, their responsibilities were applying image processing and placing GCPs, carrying out a real data collection and obtaining photos for further editing and learning how to segment large work. They were also working with different blocks and later on joining them through various methodologies.
euroMind team provided the participants with an intensive Spanish course, where they could practice their communication skills and get the basics of new language. However not only they worked but also enjoyed the beautiful Spain. In their free time they did a tour around Andalusian capital – Seville – where they could admire its culture and history. Moreover, they had a chance to go to Malaga and see some magnificent monuments. And of course they couldn’t leave Spain without trying traditional tapas!

Our teacher has taught us how to use drone programs, and this new skill will certainly be useful in the future. I have visited many great places and the views will forever be in my memory. I had the opportunity to try Spanish dishes and learn about their culture. An unforgettable experience that can not be described. If anyone has the opportunity to use such practices, I highly recommend.

I am very happy that I was able to take this opportunity. The main goal of the practice was to learn about drones. I got to know its construction and benefits. Thanks to the practice I learned how to use different programs to develop drones picture. I also had the opportunity to see live how the device was used. This allowed me to learn a new way of measuring in geodesy. In addition to practicing, I was able to get to know Spanish culture, see many beautiful places and have a nice time with the group.
