About This Project

A group of 12 students from Slovenia spent three weeks doing their internship in the south of Spain. In October, the euroMind team welcomed them in Malaga.

The interns were spread across Malaga to gain experience working as administrative assistants. Their main responsibilities included creating and modifying documents in Microsoft Office and performing general office duties, such as using photocopier, printer and scanner. They provided professional, courteous and friendly service to the clients of the host companies and dealt with processing sales invoices, receipts and payments.

Additionally, the students were provided with a great number of cultural activities, such as an intensive Spanish course. They also went on trips to Gibraltar, Seville, and Mijas. During their stay in Malaga, the interns took part in the city tour which gave them an opportunity to see the most important places, e.g. Roman Theatre, Plaza de la Merced, Santiago Church or Cathedral. They also saw a flamenco show and were taught how to dance basic flamenco movements. The interns could find out more about life of underwater creatures like sharks, turtles or seahorses during the Malaga Sea Life Aquarium.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Dajana Radić

My experience working in Málaga was great. I quickly learned everything and working became easier. I communicated well with customers and with my supervisor. Our job was to rent bikes, paddle boards, scooters and to write information about our customers. We also worked on the computer. The food was good and the Hostel was also really nice. In our free time we visited the Malaga city center, we went to Torremolinos. Together we visited Seville which is a beautiful city with a lot of history monuments and then we also went to Gibraltar. There we went up on the top of a mountain where we could see the whole city, monkeys and also a little of Africa far away. After three weeks of living and working in Spain I can say that I am really happy and thankful for this experience. Everything was great, I learned a lot of things, the country is beautiful and the culture is really nice. I am really happy that I got to see and learn something new that will help me in the future and something that I will remember forever.

Malaga is a beautiful city with lots of places to explore and I really enjoyed it in those three weeks.
