About This Project

In March 2017 we were happy to welcome an small yet enthusiastic group of 3 trainees from Slovenia. They made their way to Seville in order to take part in a three-week long internship at different host companies across the city. During their stay the managed to greatly improve both the professional and linguistic skills which will prove very useful in their future job search.

During their intership their main tasks included the following:

  • -Locating defects in the parts and components of a vehicle.
  • Selecting and using measurement instruments and diagnostic equipment in vehicles.
  • Performing basic service and repair activities related to car servicing, i.e.: oil and filter change, defective parts replacement, washing of engine and other car components.
  • Car body repairing i.e. welding, brazing, riveting, sheet metal and profiles bonding, assembly and disassembly of car body components and chassis.
  • Removing and disassembling units such as engines, transmissions or differentials, to be repaired, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Lubricating and cleaning the vehicle.

But besides work, the students still had plenty of time left to enjoy the beautiful sites of Seville while also taking part in several cultural activities such as a Sevillian bike tour and an exciting trip to Málaga.

Igor Radic:

‘Sevilla is a beautiful city. The old city of Sevilla is very interesting. In the city you can enjoy showings of the ancient, historical Spanish dance called Flamenco. Sevilla has a beautiful stadium too.
The river is a good place to implement sports!! I like the golden lighthouse. Its stone is amazing at night! On the other side of the river it was good place to spend our free time! The workshop where I did my internshipwas very big. I liked it a lot! The day we went to a soccer game was the best day ever here in Sevilla!  Monika is the best coordinator in Sevilla ever!’

‘Sevilla is very beautiful but rather small city. People here are very kind and generous. They are very hardworking and smart. I learned a lot during the training.
The weather was very sunny and hot. It was very nice and interesting when went on the trips to Cadiz and Malaga.
The food here is very different from that in Slovenia, but I like it. Our hostel is nice but very old like.I have to say that Monika did a very good job and took good care of us, so a big thanks to her!!’
