About This Project

10 Polish students from Olkusz did an internship in Seville, working as Logisticians and CNC Operators. During their four weeks´ work experience, they developed their professional abilities and new skills in local companies. They carried out several tasks, such as:

 

 

  • Operating and monitoring machines for cutting, drilling and polishing plastic and metal;
  • Cleaning, lubricating and carrying out maintenance of the machine;
  • Operating CNC Machines;
  • Moving pallets and boxes to the store with the use of manual pallet truck;
  • Opening cases of merchandise and sorting products;
  • Placing all products in the warehouse (use staircase to access to shelves);

 

 

All of the participants fell in love with the Spanish culture and language, that they could discover during the Spanish class. They visited, almost always, sunny Seville during a Seville Tour, the River Cruise and they could appreciate the view on the city from las Setas. They came to Sevilla to visit Andalusia and Spain, but they also went on a trip to Tavira (Portugal), where they enjoyed the golden sand and to Gibraltar where they met some very smart monkeys (who actually robbed some food from our students and teachers!). Finally, the group visited the beautiful city of Málaga.

We hope that our trainees learned many things during their stay that everything will be useful for their future work and private life. Surely, they will remember this experience with a smile on the face.

We were lucky to be able to do monthly internships in Spain. I worked at Toys’r’us and I really couldn’t find a better company. Thanks to courtesy, patience and commitment of the employees, I learned a lot. For work where there is such an atmosphere, I always came with a smile on my face. There was no time for boredom. We visited many monuments. We’ve been on some great trips. We could get to know Spanish culture better but also learned Spanish. Only Mari is able to encourage learning so well. After a month, we feel in Seville as if it was home.

I was positively surprised by the place of mechatronic practices because I learned a lot there and met nice and helpful people there. Numerous Spanish trips allowed me to learn more about the local culture, which differs significantly from the Polish one. I liked the fact that I was able to visit places where I have not been before, such as Seville Malaga Gibraltar or Tavira in Portugal. Thanks to the course of the Spanish language, I managed to master the basic phrases in this language, which makes me very happy because I do not have such problems with communication as at the beginning. In my honest opinion, a stay in Spain can be considered at least as successful!
