About This Project

In February, we have hosted in Seville a group of 18 Polish trainees from Roskoszna for two weeks. They came to Spain to increase their knowledge and professional abilities as car mechanics, bakers, cooks and pastry cooks. The trainees worked in separate companies what gave them an opportunity not only to see how the work in Spain looks like, but also to meet Spanish culture and make friends. They mainly performed such tasks as:

– Mixing raw materials and ancillary products in appropriate quantities and preparing different types of dough and creams

– Making and decorating different types of tarts and pastries according to basic techniques of bakery

– Learning about typical Spanish cuisine and local specialties

– Performing skilled cooking and food preparation

-Performing basic services and repair activities related to car servicing, i.e. oil and filters change, defective parts replacement, washing of the engine and other car components

-Evaluating the quality of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle equipment operations

-Selecting and using measurement instruments and diagnostic equipment in the vehicles

-Weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment

The trainees took part in a Spanish course, what helped them to communicate at work and in everyday situations during their stay. They also visited Gibraltar, where they could admire the only place in Europe where the monkeys live freely. They found out many things about Spanish culture and history during Seville Tour and they saw the most important monuments and viewpoints in the Andalusian capital.

They went back home with a positive attitude, ready for the next adventure. We hope that they will not forget this experience and the things they learned will help them build their careers.
