In the beginning of March, 16 Polish students from Zespół Szkół Ekonomicznych w Raciborzu landed in Malaga for a four-week placement and single-minded in developing their skills and learning more about economy, accounting, logistics, transport, retailing and publicity.
They did not know anything about Spanish so during their long stay and in order to overcome the language barrier with their colleagues and tutors they took a 20-hour Spanish course which help them feel more confident to speak to the native.
Thanks to their mobility, they visited the city of Malaga and enjoy a catamaran trip. They also visited other Andalusian cities: Mijas, Benalmadena, Sevilla and Granada. Other activities such as a chocolate workshop and climbing El Caminito del Rey (The King’s Little Path).
It was a pleasure to welcome and spend time with curious and joyful trainees, looking forward to welcoming other such friendly students!

Staying in Malaga was amazing. I loved that city and the country. People at work were so kind and helpful. We did not have to hurry with work, we worked in good atmosphere. We worked mostly with documents. In our free time we were exploring the city, going to the beach and trying local food. I dreamed about these apprenticeships because in my opinion it is a great opportunity to get out of my comfort zone, see something amazing, meet new people and get great experiences.

I wanted to get new experiences by visiting a new country, discovering its culture and meeting new people. The language is important so I wanted to learn Spanish (it is not that easy). I wanted to work in my profession and see how it looks (experience). In my apprenticeship I created posters, logos, and videos. I cooperated with IT-guys to create an app for smartphones. It was really exciting for me and it gave me positive energy from the people and place there.
