About This Project

11 students, 3 weeks, and one unforgettable experience in Seville!

In May a group of Slovenian trainees made their way to sunny Seville in order to take part in a three-week professional internship program. The aim of their stay was to gain professional experience in their field of studies; economy and tourism. They spent their time improving their skills doing many tasks such as tour guiding and administrative work.

Overall, the practical training provided valuable skills and knowledge for the students’ future careers in their respective fields.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

ANA DOBNIK

Hello, my name is Ana and I come from Slovenia. We came to Spain for one-month internships. I worked in a bike rental company, where I spent most of my time. My boss was very friendly and he spoke English very well. I spent my working time in the store, where I was putting data in Excel program or folding products that we sell. I also counted the products we had in storage room for sale, and then put all that data in Excel again. Sometimes I went around the city to the hotels and gave them flyers of our company. I had a great time at work and learned a lot of new stuff.

For the first two weeks we had Spanish classes. Besides learning basic expressions, we also went to a really beautiful museum and around the city where we had to do some tasks. That first weekend we went to Cadiz, where we saw the city and went to the beach. In our free time we were hanging out with each other and we explored Sevilla. Last weekend we went to Cordoba and our guide Kasia showed us the city and after that we had some free time.

This was an unforgettable experience and I enjoyed it very much. I’ve been to Spain before and now I just love it more and more. I’m incredibly thankful for this opportunity and I will forever be grateful. It was really something special and I hope a lot of people can experience it too.

NIKA NOVOSAD

Hello, my name is Nika and I am 17 years old. I come from Slovenia and I am student at Šolski center Velenje, where I study to become an economy technician. I am very happy and grateful that I had the chance to participate in this mobility.

At practice I did paper work, printed documents and I kept updated the company’s database. After work we had Spanish lessons with our teachers Spyros and Sarrah. We had a great time with them. We visited a beautiful museum, did a tour through Seville and tried delicious churros.  We spent every afternoon walking around the beautiful streets of the city. During the weekends we visited Cadiz, Cordoba and Malaga. Each town amazed me with its cultural heritage, amazing people and great energy.

Thanks to the coordinators and our teachers this was an unforgettable experience. I will cherish this moments for a lifetime.
