At the beginning of October 2018, a group of Polish trainees worked on an ecological farm building bioconstruction, during a two-week professional practice program.
Participants have learned a lot about natural or recycled components and their qualities. The project allowed them to see different stages of bio-construction with use of different materials. They had a unique opportunity to build some parts of farm buildings using various eco-friendly components and techniques. Thanks to participation in the project they are familiarized with the interesting world of ideas or concepts of ecological construction.
All work during the traineeship was a great possibility to develop their professional skills and increase their knowledge about ecology, as well as a real support for this farm, which promote an environmentally friendly way of building, farming and agriculture. Every day, students could expand their abilities and creativity.
In their free time, trainees discovered the special charm of the town in which they lived, and its attractions. They went on a nice tour by the Tourist Train, to explore the historical center of Ubeda. During the appetizing visit in the churreria, they had the opportunity to see the real preparation of famous Spanish sweet snack, called Churros. Other times they could taste some local specialties, during Tapas Night. In addition, trainees were spending time together in an active way, playing bowling or football or enjoying the swimming pool. At the weekend they visited a beautiful coastal town Roquetas de Mar.
We hope that they will never forget this experience and that the time spent in Ubeda will be fruitful in the future.
