About This Project

In November group of 10 Croatian students from Osijek, were hosted by euroMind in Malaga to gain a 2-weeks internship in different sectors.
In Malaga students had an opportunity to see what the Veterinary sector looks like in Spain, they were working as. Also, trainees had different tusks which helped them increase their knowledge.

All students get a unique experience they were feeding and supplying water for animals. Performing simple animal examinations, measuring animal’s weight, taking the body temperature of animals. Cleaning and disinfecting cages and work areas and sterilizing tools used to take care of animals. Administering medication orally or topically when it is necessary. Taking care of animals after treatments. Assisting in surgical operations. Assisting in ultrasound and RTG analysis. Administering injections. Assisting in vaccine administration.

During their stay in Malaga, the trainees not only developed their work skills but also took part in different cultural activities such as the Malaga tour, Malaga Sea Life Oceanarium . Also, trainees visited Seville.

The trainees had a great experience visiting Seville, the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. The city is a historical masterpiece full of Islamic monuments, gardens, and flamenco festivals. They quickly realized that Seville is considered to be an architectural gem due to its well-preserved monuments such as the Cathedral and Giralda, the Royal Alcázar, and the General Archive of the Indies – all of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. The trainees were astonished by all the above-mentioned places as well as the beautiful square Plaza de España that has been used as a filming location in the Star Wars movies.

Students get sufficient Spanish courses with our Spanish teacher, we emphasize practice, so during lessons students play a lot, because we think the game is the best teacher. Spanish classes can be described in two words: dynamic and practical. That is why, after intensive and hard learning, the students had written an exam. All the participants passed with very good results!

euroMind team did their best to deliver the best professional and cultural experience to the trainees of the project being always ready to help, give advice and solve any problems or doubts.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Sara Kovačević

I really enjoyed my time in Malaga while being a part of the Erasmus+ project. I have learned a lot and become more comfortable with English. It was beyond my expectations. I had a lot of fun at my workplace but also in my free time in which I visited Andalusia with my friends. I felt like our coordinator was always here for us and she showed us lots of fun places.

During my two weeks’ stay at Malaga, I got to work with horses and explore the city, and a little bit further than that. Malaga is a beautiful city just like Seville (although personally, I like Malaga more) and the people are genuine and kind. My practice work was a bit different than what I imagined, but all in all, it was not too bad. I got to meet some amazing people, forge new friendships and learn about the differences between my country and Spain.

Visiting Malaga can be classified as one of the most beautiful experiences I have had. Maria has been with us throughout our whole adventure and is always ready to help us whenever we need her. The people from the clinic where I have had my internship were extremely nice and kind. Malaga as a city left me speechless and I would definitely like to come back here again.
