In April 2018, a group of nineteen Polish trainees from Jawor came to Ubeda to develop their professional abilities as mechanics, economics, logistics, IT and CNC.
The trainees worked in local companies. That gave them an opportunity not only see how the work in Spain looks like, but also to meet Spanish culture and make friends.
The car mechanics on their practice were providing appropriate car care, examining vehicles, changing oil and filters, disassembling, replacing and repairing different units assisting in installing and diagnosing air conditioning system. The trainees from the IT sector were executing routine verifications in the montage, installing operating systems, and basic programs. The trainees from the economics sector were creating documents using office software, processing sales invoices, administrating offers and updating records management database systems. The logistic interns were receiving the supplies and they were in charge of placing products in the warehouse and in the shop. The trainees from the CNC sector were preparing computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines and monitoring the machining process.
All trainees took part in a Spanish course, what helped them to communicate at work and in everyday situations during their stay.
The group had the opportunity to visit many beautiful Spanish places and participate in various cultural activities.
In the first week of their internship, they went for a “tapas night” to try typical Spanish dishes in relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Another afternoon they played the football match with a group of local guys.
The group went on a day trip to the seaside to Nerja where enjoyed the beaches and the Mediterranean Sea, but they also entered the famous caves of Nerja.
We hope that they will not forget this experience and the things they learned will help them build their careers.
