About This Project

In July a group of 18 students from Biłgoraj, were hosted by euroMind in Malaga to gain a 3-weeks internship as cookers, dressmakers, and administrator.
Trainees were gaining individual experiences in different local companies. That gave them the chance to grow as professionals and to learn how work in their trade looks like in another country.

Cookers were preparing the ingredients for consumption or cooking. Washing, peeling, cutting fruit and vegetables as well as cutting meat. Checking the quality of food, tasting, smelling, punching with utensils, etc. Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes and personal judgment with the use of available kitchen appliances and equipment. Adjusting the temperature of other kitchen equipment depending on the dishes being prepared.

The administrator was providing professional, courteous, and friendly service to the clients. Creating and modifying documents using Microsoft Office. Performing general office duties. Using photocopier, printer, and scanner. Preparing, scanning, and placing documents in electronic and paper filing systems.

Dressmakers were fitting, altering, repairing, and making the tailor-made clothing and home accessories, according to customers’ and manufacturers’ specifications and fit. Applying principles of garment design and stylization. Repairing or replacing defective garment parts such as pockets, zippers, snaps, buttons, and linings. Repairing or replacing defective parts of home accessories.

During 3-weeks internship students were lucky to take part in different activities, Paella night, Malaga bout trip, Malaga tour. Also, trainees were traveling around Andalusian region and visited Ronda and Nerja.

Nerja, located on the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, has all of the elements needed to charm any visitor. Its annual average temperature of around twenty degrees Celsius, its beautiful mountain landscape of La Axarquía region, as well as its rugged coastline of beaches and cliffs, are just some of its attractions. Nerja has more than its fair share of fabulous beaches, Burriana and Torrecilla being the main ones, which boast 16 kilometers of powdery sand and sparkling clear water, and a splattering of small coves to explore.

Ronda is a charming village located in the Andalusian mountains. During the day-trip, the students were able to see the beautiful scenery surrounding Ronda including its well-preserved old town which has Arab Baths, defense walls and small churches. The trainees also got to visit the World’s oldest bullfighting ring which is used only once a year, and they learned about the history of this controversial tradition in the bullring’s museum.

Moreover, students had sufficient Spanish courses. The main aim of this course is to show students how learning new languages can be fun and easy. EuroMind team hopes that all experience was satisfying for trainees, and it was an unforgettable adventure.

In recent weeks, I have been staying in warm Spain, in Málaga. I really liked it here, we visited various
interesting and beautiful places. Beautiful beach where you can sunbathe and the sea where you can
swim. The internship was very fun and there was a nice atmosphere. I learned a lot from them.

Malaga is a really beautiful place. I did an internship here at the large Café La Merced 14. I am satisfied with this internship because I learned a lot. Spain is famous for many types of coffee, that I have learned in the workplace. After work, I visited cities such as Nerja, Ronda. Of course, a visit to the beautiful beach could not be missed, many times the walk ended there. I really recommend such a trip to get to know a new culture and learn a language.

I have just finished my internship in beautiful, sunny Spain in Málaga, where I spent the last 3 weeks. I worked in a restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine. I liked it very much and I am glad that I could gain new professional experience. I find Málaga a very special and beautiful place. Especially the beach and the sea, where I have been often. I will definitely come back here someday.
