About This Project

In May a group of 16 students from Pionki, were hosted by euroMind in Malaga to gain a 3-weeks internship in different sectors.
All students get individual experience in a different positions.

Graphic designers were conceiving, designing, modifying, and creating images using programs such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Corel. Projecting designs based on the needs of the client. Offering clients services that meet the objectives of projects and justifying proposals in line with the knowledge of the trainee. Conceiving, producing, and managing visual communication projects.

Cooks were setting tables, providing cutlery, crockery, and glasses. Providing customers with the menu, providing information about its content and other advice, recommending combinations. Serving food and drinks. Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen. Learning about typical Spanish cuisine and local specialties.

CNC Operators were using counters and metrology knowledge. Interpreting plans. Operating and monitoring machines for cutting, drilling, and cleaning the metal. Placing and at the end of the process removing the piece of metal from the machine. Checking the results of operations and if it is not satisfactory, call the adjuster. Cleaning, lubricating, and carrying out maintenance of the machine. Operating CNC Machines.

Logistics (Warehouse Assistants) were assisting with inventory management. Assisting in the management planning and order of the warehouse. Assisting with the coordination of the store space upon arrival of the new delivery of goods and checking their state. Preparing the orders which are going to be sent.

During their stay in Malaga, the trainees not only developed their work skills but also took part in different cultural activities such as the Malaga tour. Students also were lucky to get a chance to go to Ronda – a charming village located in the Andalusian mountains. During the day trip, the students were able to see the beautiful scenery surrounding Ronda including its well-preserved old town which has Arab Baths, defense walls, and small churches. The trainees also got to visit the World’s oldest bullfighting ring which is used only once a year, and they learned about the history of this controversial tradition in the bullring’s museum.

Also, students visited Nerja, located on the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, which has all of the elements needed to charm any visitor. Its annual average temperature of around twenty degrees Celsius, its beautiful mountain landscape of La Axarquía region, as well as its rugged coastline of beaches and cliffs, are just some of its attractions. Nerja has more than its fair share of fabulous beaches, Burriana and Torrecilla being the main ones, which boast 16 kilometers of powdery sand and sparkling clear water, and a splattering of small coves to explore.

Students get sufficient Spanish courses with our Spanish teacher, we emphasize practice, so during lessons students play a lot, because we think the game is the best teacher. Spanish classes can be described in two words: dynamic and practical. That is why, after intensive and hard learning, the students had written an exam. All the participants passed with very good results!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

This practice was very important for me. I caught a lot of experience. I felt very good in my first and second job. Malaga is a beautiful City and I ́m sad that was only 3 weeks, really. That would be a lot of things to do. It was a very good practice and a trip I will remember this forever. Best travel in my life.

These internships prepared me for my future job. They showed what I would do more precisely and in practice, I learned how to do some work on a CNC machine. The atmosphere at work was family-like, the employees helped me when I didn’t understand something and explained something not forcefully, but calmly tried to explain a certain issue. My tutor was a really nice person and we could talk to him about all topics, no matter if they were questions like which way to unscrew the screw, and he would explain it if I screwed in wrong every time. I regret that I could not spend more time in this company to be able to gather even more knowledge.

Natalia Mazur

The trip is very successful. There were adventures every day. I got to know Spanish culture. There were Spanish classes, which I liked to attend. I tried traditional dishes. I had the opportunity
to visit many beautiful places as well as monuments. I spent my free time first resting after hard work and then going out to the city or the beach.
