About This Project

A group of students from Staszow, in Poland, came to Spain to work in the field of car mechanics. We hosted 14 students in Malaga, who were doing their internships in different companies. Students could gain new knowledge and skills by doing different tasks, such as:

– helping with the installation and replacement of car air conditioning

– assisting in aligning and repairing wheels

– assisting in inspecting and testing new vehicles to detect potential faults

– helping in lifting the vehicle to a specified level, using a hydraulic jack

– disassembling units such as engines, gearbox etc. using manual or electric tools

– performing basic services and repair activities related to car servicing, i.e. oil and filters change, defective parts replacement, washing of the engine and other car components

– evaluating the quality of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle equipment operations – Selecting and using measurement instruments and diagnostic equipment in the vehicles

– using diagnostic computers and oscilloscopes in the workplace

– repairing car body, i.e. welding, brazing, riveting, sheet metal and profiles bonding, assembling and disassembling of car body components and chassisç

Moreover, they were not only working and learning more about cars as they could also experience Spanish culture. Students had a dynamic Spanish language course, Malaga tour and also a trip to Gibraltar, where our tour guides made their trips more enjoyable!

I learned a lot of interesting things on practices in Spain that are useful in my profession. Thanks to the Spanish lesson, I learned the phrases and sentences that I could communicate on a daily basis. Being in Spain, I got to know the culture here, I visited a lot of interesting places and I took a lot of pictures. I liked the internships very much.

Grzegorz Sojda

I really enjoyed apprenticeships in Spain. During this time i learned a lot of things related with car mechanics. In my workshop everyone was kind and there was good atmosphere. I was spending my free time with friends. I liked trips planned by organizers. There were amazing views, for example from Gibraltars Rock. Good thing is that I could learn Spanish on the lessons during this time in Malaga. Summarizing, flight to Malaga for apprenticeships was good choice which i don’t regret.
