About This Project

In May 2016, the Zespół Szkół Energetycznych of Rzeszów, Poland, sent us 16 of their students to carry out internships in Spain. All students stayed for a period of two weeks, doing a practical training on solar houses. During this interships they learnt all about solar panels, renewable energy and AutoCad. They built their own solar house and got the opportunity to visit the largest solar complex in Europe.

Apart from their practical training, they were fully introduced to the Spanish culture. They were shown around the city of Seville by bike and enjoyed a visit to Cadiz. They had a great time in Spain, were able to learn some basic vocabulary, visit the region and learn about different work methods.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Kacper Ciuba: ‘The trip to Spain was an amazing experience. I got to know new culture, new places. I could admire architecture and monuments. In the practical training I got to know information about solar panels and installations. I developed new skills related to my profession (work in AutoCad graphics program). I would like to go back to Spain in the future, because is so beautiful there.’

Jakub Sikora: ‘In my opinion this kind of learning is the best option to learn everything. I got to know the structure, usage and work of solar panels. During the practice we learned and built small wooden house with application of renewable energy by solars. During my stay in Spain I had a chance to see how solar installation looks like, and how to do our own installation.’
