In June 2018, our Ubeda team to welcome a group of 20 Polish trainees from Elbląg and Olecko. They stayed for a three-week practical training in the sector of hairdressing, gastronomy and car mechanics, where they could improve their skills and knowledge.

The cooks have learned to prepare traditional Spanish dishes, keeping the workplace clean and developing cooking skills. They also helped in planning and coordinating work in the kitchen. The hairdressers learned to organize the workplace, select appropriate tools and supplies for hairdressers. They also got know methods and techniques used in Spanish hair salons and assisting in the performance of hair treatments, haircuts, and hairstyles.
The car mechanics learned how assisting in car body repairing (for example welding and performing a basic mechanical operation), examining vehicles, changing oil and filters, disassembling, replacing different units assisting in installing and diagnosing air conditioning system.
Everybody from the group took part in a basic Spanish course, where they learned useful a vocabulary from their work sector and basic expressions.

The group had to opportunity went to “tapas night” to try typical Spanish dishes.  Another afternoon they visited El Centro de Interpretación del Olivar y Aceite, where they learned about the history and culture of olive cultivation and they tasted different kinds of oil. On a Saturday they visited Granada. During this trip, they had enjoyed amazing landscapes and to see all of the most important places and monuments

We are sure, that internship was a good experience for trainees, where they improved their skills and knowledge. We hope that they had enjoyed the exchange in Spain.
