About This Project

In October group of 17 students from Jordanów arrived in Seville to carry out a 3-weeks internship in different sectors: hairdressing, electrical engineering and working as a shop or carpenter´s assistants. Students learned new information, which helped them in their future careers. During the internship they had different tasks, which helped them to understand how to improve efficiency, they could also make new friends and live in other culture.

7 students, which were working as shop assistants, were in charge of: dealing with customer service, supporting the sales process, assisting in the management of invoices, receipts, and payments, unpacking products, stocking shelves, arranging displays and providing advice to clients on choosing the right product and help in finding it in the store. Their practice took place in grocery stores mostly in the center of Sevilla.

Another 6 students, practicing to be future hairdressers, were placed in hairdressing salons which specialized in haircutting, hair coloring, highlights, styling for various occasions and hair strengthening therapies. Their tasks included: organizing the workplace, selecting appropriate tools and supplies for hairdressers, getting acquainted with work organization, equipment, cosmetics and hair care technologies used by Spanish hairdressers, washing customers’ heads and getting it ready for cutting or other treatments required and ssisting in hair lightening and discoloration using the modern techniques and hairdressing utensils.

3 students were placed in hotels in Seville to practice electrical engineering. Their main responsibilities included: performing maintenance tasks on electrical systems in a hotel, gathering all needed materials, tools and other working equipment and preparing the worksite, repairing defective installations, machines and electrical devices under the supervision of the tutor and ensuring that the work equipment and already existing installations are maintained in an efficient state.

During their stay in Seville, the trainees not only developed their work skills but also took part in basic Spanish course and different cultural activities such as the Seville tour, tapas night, flamenco show. What´s more, students were traveling around the Andalusian region – they visited Cadiz, Cordoba and Matalascañas Beach.

We hope that during their stay in Spain students not only obtained practical knowledge and skills useful in their future jobs but could also explore Andalucia, get to know Spanish people’s habits, culture and their daily life. It surely was an unforgettable experience!

Piotr Sułocha

Spain is a beautiful country that amazed me with its culture and climate. During the internship, I could see what work in a country other than Poland looks like. This time helped me develop the English language and acquire a new ability to speak Spanish. Thanks to the various trips I was able to get to know the culture and customs of Spain better and gain knowledge. I am convinced that I will come back to Seville because I want to get to know it further.

Szczepan Luberda

My stay in Spain turned out to be more fun than I expected. The residence is quite cozy and the atmosphere between the participants is flawless. The work was interesting and fun. I got along very well with my boss and employees very well These people are very cool and we liked each other together. I learned a few things about myself, including that I can face difficulties. I will also mention a city that is interesting and enchants with its aesthetics. I have the impression that there is a nice and calm atmosphere in all of Spain. I rate the entire trip as a success!
