In June, Ubeda hosted a group of 20 Polish trainees from Elbląg. Young mechanics and electromechanics came here to participate in three weeks internship.
Trainees were working on their professional skills assisting in examining damaged vehicles and removing broken sections, helping prepare car-body areas to be painted, performing basic service and repair activities related to car servicing, i.e.: oil and filter change, washing of engine and other car components, lubricating and cleaning the vehicle. They learned how to select and use measurement instruments and diagnostic equipment, how to replace basic elements in electrical lighting and auxiliary systems. The trainees could assist in diagnosing heating and air conditioning systems following technical specifications in terms of quality and safety and they were preparing workstations for use by mechanics and repairers.
During their stay, trainees took part in various cultural activities which helped them to understand Spanish culture and were a great opportunity for their personal development.
In the first week of their internship, they went for a “tapas night” to try typical Spanish dishes in relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Another afternoon they spent visiting charming Baeza, known from its impressive Renaissance inheritance. There they made friends with a group of local children playing ball.
The group went on a trip to Malaga to enjoy the sun on the beach and see the most important monuments of this beautiful city.
We hope that this experience will be not only unforgettable but also very fruitful and will help them to build their future careers.
