About This Project

We welcomed twenty students from a Mathematical High School in Bulgaria to our beautiful city of Seville for a one week training programme. The students came to gain knowledge in the field of the environmental analysis and they could practice in a professional laboratory. Throughout their internship, they got acquainted with the tools, equipment, and technologies used in the laboratory and learned how to work on machinery and laboratory equipment. They analysed microbiological organisms and microorganisms that can be used in the cosmetics industry. Moreover, they assisted in microbiological tests of water: drinking water and swimming pools. We are very proud to have equipped them with valuable skills and knowledge that will help them in their future career.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

VIHRA LYUBOMIROVA MAKEDONSKA

My name is Vihra, I have been to 17 countries already and I can confirm that Spain is my top favourite destination. In terms of the course, which was related to environmental analysis, I could state that it was a quite interesting and meaningful experience, as I have always wanted to work in laboratory. The circumstances made my dream become true. I learned how to work with the typical lab equipment, how to measure different elements properly and even how cosmetics are made – in the last day we made our own face creams and lip balms, which we can bring home. There are many reasons to be part of an Erasmus + project. One of the main ones for me is the possibility to make new acquaintances and even friends, which supports social integration. Not only that, but you could develop your English skills by practicing the language, because you do not have any other choice to get by, but by using the language. The city is quite different from the other cities which I have ever visited, but I liked the atmosphere and the kindness of the locals here and I will definitely come back here again one day.

TSVETELINA NIKOLAEVA PANAYOTOVA

My name is Tsvetelina and I just graduated Mathematical high school in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) and I am very excited to share with you that I had an amazing chance to visit Spain thanks to Erasmus + programme which can offer you unique things. Here in Spain I learnt a lot of new things, I met wonderful and friendly people and visited with my friends all the breath-taking landmarks. We also had five days training with chemistry teachers. They have shown us many new things which were so exciting. We learnt how to work with pipettes, and other types of machines. We used different chemicals which made the trainings days more efficient and enjoyable. Our tutors were really nice, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. They were patient to explain us everything and wait to finish. We learned how to make lips balms, rose water, nuclear water and so on. What about the residence: a unique, cosy and quiet place. The women who took care of us during all those days was sooooo kind: always smiling and ready to help us with everything. Our coordinator is a wonderful woman who really wanted to make us happy and thankful.

I am so happy for that I had the opportunity to be here with all these people! If I have another opportunity to visit any country through the Erasmus + projects, I definitely will! I recommend it with two hands! You won’t regret!
