About This Project

In August group of 11 Bulgarian students from Pirdop, were hosted by euroMind in Malaga to gain a 3-weeks internship in different sectors. All students get a unique experience in different positions. Here they were working as waiters, cooks, receptionists, housekeepers.



Receptionists were using reservation systems to do individual or group check-in and check-out procedures. Receiving orders from the hotel’s guests. Familiarizing with procedures that allow guests to lengthen or shorten their stay or to change their room to another one. Updating systems regarding the availability of hotel rooms. Providing guests with tourist information.


Housekeepers were checking if the rooms have been vacated before cleaning. Making beds daily and changing bed linen. Vacuum cleaning carpets, floors, and upholstery. Cleaning bathrooms and supplying fresh towels and toiletries. Checking and restocking tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and mini-bar supplies. Making sure that televisions, radios, lights, and air conditioning equipment are working. Reporting to a supervisor when articles are left behind by guests if there is any damage in the rooms or if any items appear to have been stolen


Waiters were setting tables with clean linen or placemats, cutlery, crockery, and glasses. Welcoming, seating customers, and handing them menus. Talking to guests about the menu and drinks and recommending combinations. Promoting local products and attractions to visitors from Spain and from overseas. Taking customers’ orders and passing them to kitchen staff or bar attendants. Serving food and drinks.


Cooks were working on different tasks, such as -washing, peeling, cutting fruit, vegetables, and meat. They also helped in weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes and personal judgment with the use of available kitchen appliances and equipment.



During their stay in Malaga, the trainees not only developed their work skills but also took part in different cultural activities such as the Malaga Sea Life Oceanarium, Paella Night. Students also were lucky to get a chance to visit Ronda, Madrid, Barcelona.

euroMind team did their best to deliver the best professional and cultural experience to the trainees of the project being always ready to help, give advice and solve any problems or doubts.

The days in Spain were filled with happiness and smiles I am very grateful to be on this project because I really like Spain and the people we also met Spaniards and the Spaniards are pretty good people! The work went great! I really like Malaga! I hope one day to have that luck again and come back!

My impression of Spain is an incredibly beautiful country. Everything here went great both at work and in our free time. The place where I work is great and my colleagues are good and kind people. The excursions they organized were wonderful and the places we visited were beautiful.

I got to know Spanish cuisine. I got to know the city we were in. I got to know the Spaniards and their habits. I explored and got to know Spanish architecture and traditions. I realized that the Spaniards are warm people
