About This Project

A group of 15 students from Poland gain experience in the electronics sector through an internship at a company specializing in drones.

A group of 15 electronic students from Kielce in Poland came to Seville to carry out their 2 weeks-long internships as drones designers. They could learn how to use programs such as Cut 2D or Mission Planner and tools (e.g. welding gun, multimeter). At the end of their internships they were able to perform drone’s final test! In their free time, students got to know Spanish life and explored Andalucía by visiting cities like Málaga or Cádiz.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Jakub Kundera

I am Jakub Kundera from Poland and I was taking a course on building, configuring and flying drones. In my opinion, our course was very-well prepared: we have always had a new task awaiting for us and teaching us the structure of the process of making and controlling a drone. I had fun during the internships, because it was also entertaining and interesting. Personally I never had a problem with the teaching methods: they were always clear and easy to understand. I have learned how to do soldering, plan a mission in MissionPlanner and how to make a plan of my own drone in Cut2D program. Our tutor was very helpful and his advices were useful as he explained everything that we did not understand about things given to us.

Michał Szustak

My name is Michal, I am 17 years old. I went on Erasmus on the 27th of March. Here I have met a lot of new people from all around the world. With some of them, I am still in touch.  I not only learn how to use such programs like “Cut 2D” or “Mission Planner”, but it was also my first time using soldering iron, and in the end, I had a chance to fly a drone, which we had built as a group. During those two weeks, we also spent a lot of time of sightseeing around the city. That strengthened my passion for photography. Moreover, we also visited two other Spanish cities – Málaga and Cádiz – two beautiful seaside places. Summarizing I would like to say that during those two weeks not only have I obtained new skills, and saw new breathtaking places, but I also learned a lot about local culture and widened my horizons

Patryk Drapejkowski

I came to Sevilla on the 27th of March for two weeks. I liked the city very much, especially its architecture and the beautiful parks. I spent the trip mainly exploring the city and its monuments, but there also was time for evening walks along the river. My favorite activity of the trip was visiting the cathedral and enoying the views of the city skyline from its tower. We did our internships in a drones company. Our teacher introduced us to the process of creating a drone. Personally I think that the internships were very interesting and we have learned a lot: e.g. we got to know the construction of drones and how to configure them. Overall, I found the internships very interesting and I was really glad to learn from Octavio. During our stay in Seville we went on a trip to Malaga, where, despite slightly low temperature, we decided to swim in the sea. The city itself is astonishing and I am glad that I had the opportunity to see it. To sum up, I will definitely remember this trip for a long time and if I could, I would definitely do it again.
