About This Project

In May 2019 euroMind team of Seville greeted a group of students from Poland. They were about to start a four-weeks internship in various fields: logistic, IT technician, IT programmer and electric technician. All of them were excited to begin their professional experience and gain new skills in different Host Organizations.

The group of logistics was responsible for opening cases of merchandise and sorting products, placing all products in the warehouse (using staircase to access to shelves) and removing and placing products in the shop. The students were also handling carts, scanners, boxes and large-size goods as well as organizing products in the store and in the warehouse areas.

The tasks of IT technicians were installing, assembling and upgrading hardware, checking the electrical connections of the various hardware components, repairing or replacing broken parts (troubleshooting) and examining and diagnosing hardware. What is more, they took care of reading electrical and electronic diagrams, locating the components in the computer and managing the use of measuring and control devices.

The programmers worked with JavaScript managing social networks and programming with WordPress. They also had a chance to learn how to use layout programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, C++, HTML and CSS as well as how to design and develop web pages depending on their function. The students were exploring the latest information of programming sector and making projects using Photoshop, Corel or Adobe Illustrator.

The group of electronic technicians’ sector learned how to operate test equipment to diagnose faults, how to test, diagnose and repair electronic circuit boards same as how to perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of electronic and equipment. They also assisted in the installation of different systems.

EuroMind provided the group with an intensive communication-focused language course, where they learned some basic Spanish in a fun way. But they not only worked – in their free time they could enjoy the beautiful capital of Andalusia – Seville – where they took a tour around the historical center. Moreover, they visited famous Royal Bullring, La Real Maestranza and experienced flamenco show – which let them feel authentic atmosphere of this part of Spain. The group went also to Malaga, where they did sightseeing including Palacio Alcazaba, and to Cadiz – old city located by the ocean. All this made their time in Spain a great adventure.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Mateusz Suplewski

Participation in this project gave me the opportunity to go abroad for the first time and represent the country here, in Spain. Sevilla turned out to be a very cozy and peaceful place. Working here gave me a lot of pleasure, because the supervisors treated us with respect, they entrusted us with every task without fear that we would not be able to handle it and the most important: they taught us many things about creating websites that we will certainly use in the near future. I am glad that I could develop my skills during my stay in Spain and see such a wonderful country. I will certainly come back here one day.

Radosław Brodecki

Erasmus gave us a great opportunity to do an internship. In our Host Organization people approached us with great friendliness and, if necessary, pulled out a helping hand to us. As good as at work, we felt at our residence. And the city of Seville is a beautiful place in many aspects. I am very happy that I could participate in such a project.
