In October 2021, we received a group of 16 Polish trainees who took part in a 2 weeks workshop about aircraft mechanics in an institute focusing on high-quality vocational training in order to get to know basic principles of hydraulics and elements of the hydraulics system of an aircraft.
The main aims of the workshop were to: complete disassembly and assembly of engine cylinders; propellers; combustion chambers; compressor of a turbine; torque link of the front axle; shimmy damper; the braking system; wheels; hand pump; hydraulic pump, hand pump and gear pump; learn elements of landing gear, its function and configuration and to take part in a guided tour of an assembly line where different processes of assembly and tools. Students also learnt how to read technical documentation and carry out preflight and post flight checks on the aircraft.
The students also took part in a Spanish course with a fantastic euromind´s teacher. They learned useful basic vocabulary and phrases, so that they could experience Spanish culture more and also feel like a part of the Spanish community. After intensive, but entertaining classes the students had a written exam. All of the participants passed with very good results!
Trainees also visited Cadiz, which is located in southwestern Spain and is often considered the oldest city in Europe as it was founded in 1100 BC. It is a typical Andalusian pueblo blanco (white town) with many attractive sights and well-preserved historical landmarks. It is located by the ocean, and was the starting point for Christopher Colombus’ expedition for the discovery of the americas. During the day trip, the group visited the city center which is surrounded by old buildings and many cafes and bars, the baroque style Cathedral, the oldest fish market in Spain, The Tavira watchtower and the plaza de España where the first Spanish democratic constitution was signed. Finally, the group were able to relax on Caleta beach for the rest of the day.
To sum up, students could not only gain a lot of new experience in their future professions, but also get to know Spanish traditions and discover a little bit of Andalucia. We hope that the project gave them a chance to widen their interests!

The aviation practice at the Ada-ITS with the use of their education equipment and highly trained personnel is at a very high level. I really learned a lot. Overall I personally am really pleased with the stay.

I like the internship because there are a lot of helicopters and planes to study in the school. There are also some teachers who are great at explaining what we have to do. In Seville, I like the weather, and above all, the high temperature and tasty food that I have never had the opportunity to eat before.

During my experience in Seville, I noticed that it differs slightly in several aspects from Poland. Our internship took place in a great aviation school where I met very creative and ambitious people, I think that my stay in Seville has been very successful so far and if possible, I will definitely want to come back to Sevilla again.
