Fourteen motivated students from the Portuguese ESCOLA PROFISSIONAL DO COMÉRCIO, ESCRITÓRIOS E SERVIÇOS DO PORTO – ASSOCIAÇÃO RAUL DÓRIA came to Seville at the start of 2016, on a month-long traineeship at several local host companies. They were active in three different workfields – event organization, marketing and tourism – and they aimed to improve their professional skills on the workfloor.
The tasks of the interns across the different sectors included :
The trainees had a wonderful experience working at their respective host companies and learning new skills and competences on a daily basis. But they also took part in a number of cultural activities: a.o. a visit to the bullring and a fun trip to Cádiz.
Gonçalo Pinheiro:
‘My opinion about my work is very positive, because no matter what you are doing the main purpose of the traineeship is to learn another language, to develop your skills and to have some more insight into the labor market. I am so happy to participate in this Erasmus programme, I have had the possibility to come into contact with so many people from different countries and this is an experience I will never forget. Erasmus gave us the possibility to learn more about other countries, cultures and we have grown as people.’
Sara Vara:
‘During this internship I learned a lot, and being in contact with spanish people on a daily basis has helped me improve my linguistic skills. I’m enjoying working at an office and maybe this experience will help me find a new job in the future. This Erasmus is a wonderful experience because it has given me independence and working experience that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.’
