About This Project

Twenty-one students from Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Technicznych w Wojkowicach were welcomed in our stunning city, Seville, and successfully completed their two-week internship. The students came to gain practical experience through internships in the fields of airport operations and landscape architecture.

Throughout their internship, they learned about the basic applications and machines used in aeronautics. They could simulate commercial flights and practice with the use of navigational aids that facilitate the pilot’s work. They also had the opportunity to visit different airports in Andalusia. The trainees were briefed by professionals working in them.

In addition, some students gained experience in garden maintenance work. They spent their time creating garden designs. The pupils also learned how to prepare new garden sites and plots using hand tools or machines.

We are proud to have equipped them with valuable skills and knowledge that will help them in their future careers.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

KINGA KRASUCKA

I am studying the profile of airport operational services in the school ZSOiT also in Wojkowice. I went to Seville in Spain for a two-week internship with Erasmus+. I had a chance to learn how plane crashes happen step by step and what causes them.

I also learned how to fly an Airbus 320 flight simulator. Roddy taught us when to use which buttons and what to do in case of failure. I found out how firefighters work at airports. We were at many different airports for example in Cordoba, Seville and Jerez. In Cordoba we learned interesting facts about rescue helicopters and we were in the AFIS (Aerodrome Flight Information Service). In Seville we went to the Area Control Centre. It was very interesting to see how all the systems work. In Jerez we had a meeting with a falconer which explained us how a falcon behaves while scaring away other birds.

I enjoyed the beach trips the most of these practices. On Saturday we went to Malaga and on Sunday we went to Cadiz. The weather was very nice and i spent the free time with my friends sunbathing and swimming in the ocean/sea. Before we went to the beaches, we visited the characteristic monuments. In Malaga I liked the Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica de la Encarnación the most. In Cadiz the best was the beach. I really enjoyed the stay here and i hope for another cooperation with Erasmus+.

WERONIKA RAJZYNGIER

I go to the ZSOIT school on the profile of landscape architecture techniques. I went on Erasmus for 2 weeks to Spain, Sevilla. I am doing an internship in a company called Andaluza de Paisajismo. I got to know the local plant species and worked trimming hedges with professional equipment. We decided to organize four trips: to Malaga, to Cadiz, to Tavira and Matalascañas. I also attended a Spanish language course, thanks to which I learned a lot of new words. To sum up, I can say that my internship in Sevilla thanks to Erasmus+ allowed me to broaden my knowledge of Spain and practical knowledge related to my field of study. Thank you very much for the opportunity to study abroad and gain experience. I encourage everyone who wants to combine fun with learning.
