About This Project

In August a group of 24 students from Zwierzyniec, were hosted by euroMind in Malaga to gain a 4-weeks internship in different sectors.

All students get a unique experience in different positions.

Geodetic Surveyors were getting familiar with the working methodology of the geodetic surveyors. Planning the stages of a topographic project. Creating topographic bases. Taking readings of bases, slope changes, and interest points of the project. Calculating the different types of coordinates. Importing data from EXCEL into AutoCAD.

Virtual Reality Programmers were Programming with Unity. Implement XR systems in an interdisciplinary and self-organized team. Write clean, well-tested, high-performance programming code. Writing and maintaining the technical design and documentation of the software system. Analyzing and optimizing systems as needed. Using layout programs such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, C++, HTML, and CSS.

During their stay in Malaga, the trainees not only developed their work skills but also took part in different cultural activities such as the Malaga tour. Students also were lucky to get a chance to visit Ronda, Granada, Nerja.

Ronda is a charming village located in the Andalusian mountains. During the day trip, the students were able to see the beautiful scenery surrounding Ronda including its well-preserved old town which has Arab Baths, defense walls, and small churches. The trainees also got to visit the World’s oldest bullfighting ring which is used only once a year, and they learned about the history of this controversial tradition in the bullring’s museum.

Granada is the city of three religions and cultures: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. During the trip, the group had a chance to learn and experience a little bit of each of these cultures. Moreover, the students could enjoy the great variety of stunning landscapes and views that Granada has to offer since the city is located at the foot of a mountain range called the Sierra Nevada.

Also, students visited  Nerja, located on the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, which has all of the elements needed to charm any visitor. Its annual average temperature of around twenty degrees Celsius, its beautiful mountain landscape of La Axarquía region, as well as its rugged coastline of beaches and cliffs, are just some of its attractions. Nerja has more than its fair share of fabulous beaches, Burriana and Torrecilla being the main ones, which boast 16 kilometers of powdery sand and sparkling clear water, and a splattering of small coves to explore.

Students get sufficient Spanish courses with our Spanish teacher, we emphasize practice, so during lessons students play a lot, because we think the game is the best teacher. Spanish classes can be described in two words: dynamic and practical. That is why, after intensive and hard learning, the students had written an exam. All the participants passed with very good results!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

This practice changed my life. I learned a lot of new information. I felt very good in my first and second job. Malaga is a beautiful City and I am sad that was only 3 weeks, really. It was a very good experience and a trip I will remember this forever. The best time in my life.

These internships prepared me for my future job. They showed what I would do more precisely and in practice, I learned how to program different tusks. The atmosphere at work was family-like. My tutor was a really nice person and we could talk to him about all topics, no matter if they were questions like which way to unscrew the screw. I regret that I could not spend more time in this company to be able to gather even more knowledge.

The trip was very interesting. There were excursions every day. I got to know Spanish culture. There were Spanish classes, which I liked to attend. I tried traditional dishes and I fall in love with them. I had the opportunity to visit many beautiful places as well as monuments. I spent my free time first resting after hard work and then going out to the city or the beach.
