In the Summer ten trainees from the Azores in Portugal came to Ubeda for a six-weeks internship. During that time they worked in their crafts
in Spanish companies developing their skills in sectors of tourism, commerce, sports management and IT.
They learned how to provide an appropriate customer service, they performed administrative tasks and they practiced the teamwork. The trainees learned how to choose and use different tools and equipment at their workplaces.
In addition, the trainees from the IT sector were installing operating systems, analyzing their characteristics and interpreting technical documentation. In sports sector, they were planning and supervising sports activities and training routines.
Not only they find out how the work in Spain looks like, but they could also experience the warmth of Spanish people, due to the fact, that they were staying at houses of local families.
With them they practiced their Spanish, which got significantly better; they tried home cooking and they went on many trips together.
The trainees participated in many cultural activities that euroMind´s team prepared for them. They took part in The Language and Cultural Exchange, where they made friends with peers from Poland. They found out how the traditional Spanish ceramic is made in The Museum of Artisan Pottery Paco Tito.
They went on a trip to Granada, one of the most important cities in Spain with wonderful, world-renowned palace Alhambra.
It was hard to say ¨bye¨ after all this time spent together. They will stay in the hearts of their host families, their co-workers and euroMind´s team.
We wish them all the best in their future careers and we hope they will visit us again.
