About This Project

In April of 2016, we had the pleasure to welcome a group of 4 Swedish trainees who would take part in a two-week internship as robotic, architectural and design technicians. During their stay they would greatly improve their professionals skills while also improving their basic Spanish communicational skills in the process. Their main tasks consisted of:

  •  Create an Excel-sheet for different 3D models.
  • Create a presentation to teach and introduce children to Minecraft.
  • Observe and learn how to use the 3D printer.
  • Learn about Arduino programme.
  • Creating a tutorial for inexperienced children about Scratch and Minecraft.
  • Put out line son a drawing to know where I should take the measures in real life.

After hours the boys took part in an exciting 20-hours Spanish course with our amazing teacher. In their free time they went out to explore the beautiful sites of Seville and its broad cultural offer. It was a joy and an absolute pleasure having them here with us!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Christian Albinsson:

‘Very interesting city with a lot of different perspectives, I mean everything from old beautiful buildings to new parts and some “ghetto” parts. Very amazing contrasts from an architectural point of view. I am surprised so few people know English in Spain. The internship place is amazing with a lot of funny, interesting and smart people. Fun tasks that helped me grow personally and professionally.’

Elias Åberg:

‘At the beginning, I was performing very simple tasks and using just basic programs. Little by little I was responsible for more advanced tasks. The last week the tasks got more complex and I got to use my full competence to solve the problems. Overall, it has been a good opportunity to know how a Spanish company is run and organized and to implement my previous knowledge in a practical way.

Seville is a beautiful city with a lot to enjoy. We have been at the Feria de Abril and strolled around the city centre. There is a great food in form of tapas everywhere and the Cruzcampo beer is almost perfect.’
