About This Project

In October 2021, a group of 29 students from Tomaszów Mazowiecki arrived to Seville to carry out a 2-weeks long internship in lab analysis and solar panels installation. Students get an opportunity to practice with professional tutors and learn new information about their jobs, also they were lucky to live in other culture and discover another cities in Andalucia.

17 students were practicing in a laboratory that mainly focuses on the analysis of water and food, with specialists which have extensive experience in various sectors, such as the food industry, collective canteens, catering services, dialysis centre, public and private medical centers contributed to founding the laboratory. Students´main tasks included: getting rid of pollution, sterilising and carrying out maintenance tasks on laboratory machinery and equipment, saving and analysing results from the investigation and experiments or getting to know the tools, equipment, and technology used in the laboratory. They were also in charge of identifying and analyzing different types of water and assisting in the physical and chemical investigation of residual waters: pH, conductivity, suspended particles and fats and others. We are sure they have gained a lot of practical knowledge!

Another 12 students learned about installing solar panels in a school that is involved in projects related to environmental awareness and green energy production, solar radiation, methods of pollution reduction and offers courses of dealing with renewable sources of energy and protection of the environment in the construction. They learned how to recognize the qualities of solar energy and the risks of working with solar energy and the types of photovoltaic cells. Moreover, they learned how to measure voltage and current, how to use a multimeter according to the inclination grade and how to assemble an electrical panel, AC power circuits, and solar circuits of the house.

During their stay in Malaga, the trainees not only developed their work skills but also took part in different cultural activities such as tour around Seville and a Guadalquivir Kayak Tour. Also, students travelled to another Andalusian city – Cadiz.

The kayak tour involved kayaking along the city center of Seville on the famous Guadalquivir River. Its competitors as a young and dynamic Andalusian company dedicated to environmental tourism, whose experienced groups of multilingual professionals are specialized in tourism, environmental issues, art, culture, and history. The trainees were taken on a journey through some of Seville´s most important historical moments such as the discovery of America, and the subsequent first boat trip around the world, and the trainees saw some gorgeous views of Triana, La Isla de La Cartuja, La Maestranza, El Barrio del Arenal and the 1992 Expo.

2 weeks in Seville were surely an unforgettable experience, we hope students gained a lot of practical knowledge and skills and that some of them might have enjoed Spain that much they would like to come back there in the future!
