About This Project

We hosted twenty students from a Mathematical High School in Bulgaria to join us in the picturesque city of Seville for a week-long course. The purpose of their visit was to expand their understanding of environmental analysis and gain hands-on experience in our laboratory. During their internship, they became familiar with various tools, equipment, and technologies commonly used in laboratories and learned how to operate machinery and handle laboratory apparatus. They actively participated in the examination of diverse microbiological organisms and microorganisms relevant to the cosmetics industry. Additionally, they played a crucial role in conducting microbiological tests on drinking water and swimming pools. We take great pride in equipping these students with valuable skills and knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit their future careers.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

MARIA BONCHEVA

My name is Maria Boncheva. I am from Bulgaria. I really enjoyed my stay here! I was stunned by the beauty of Seville and I am definitely going to visit this beautiful city with my family one day! The culture, architecture, people and everything was fascinating here. I learned to be more independent. I practiced my English and Spanish and now I am not as scared to talk to people as I was. The theme of the project in which I participated was Environmental Analysis. We were in a laboratory every day and we took part in many fun experiments, one of which was to learn which blood type are we. I also got closer with the other kids, that were here with me, and got to know students from other cities. This whole internship is definitely going to benefit me in the future.

If someone is thinking about joining this program, they should absolutely do it! It broadens one’s view of the world and gives them a chance to meet new people and experience new cultures.
