In late May and early June, a group of 15 students from the Athénée Royal d’Esneux (Belgium) arrived in Málaga for a month-long apprenticeship in robotics, 3D modelling and printing and laser cutting. As a conclusion to their work, the students prepared a final project involving designing a 3D prototype and presenting it to the group.
The students proved to be very well organized, committed and ambitious. They coped brilliantly with all the tasks and learned a lot. The language barrier was also not as big an obstacle as they had expected.
In addition, during their stay in Spain they visited several towns in the province of Malaga – they went to Nerja, where they actively spent time canoeing. On another occasion, they went to Mijas and took part in a workshop at a chocolate factory, and to Benalmadena, where they visited a butterfly park and the Colomares castle.
The group achieved all their objectives and were unanimous in stating that the trip was successful and they would like to return to Andalusia one day.

I came to Spain thanks to an Erasmus experience to be able to do an internship in a company in which I came to learn 3D modeling and printing as well as laser cutting, our internship supervisor gave us work to do to ultimately create our final project as a group. This project brought together all the materials and we had carte blanche for the realization.

To live an extraordinary experience, to live unforgettable moments. I love the Spanish language and all the history of this country, the weather is great and it makes you want to go to work. What surprised me was how polite and respectful Spanish people are, the streets are almost completely clean and everything is beautiful. I worked in Malaga, where I created a few designs on computer and printed them out using a laser printer and a 3D printer.
