A group of 15 students from from Zespół Szkół Odzieżowych nr 1 Kraków from Poland came to Seville in mid-February to carry out their 2-week internship as Flamenco Dress Designers.
The main objective of the traineeship was to design and create a flamenco dress. The students learnt also about the history and evolution of flamenco costume up to the present day, as well as the typical fabrics and elements of flamenco dress construction.
Divided into 4 groups they drew flamenco dresses, learned how to draw different types of ruffles and designed and cut the pattern of the flamenco dress, which they then sewed. We were delighted to see the magnificent results they achieved.
In addition to this, they had trips to other Andalusian cities like Cadiz and Malaga. In their free time, they could also explore capital of Andalusia walking around the old city and visiting emblematic places like Plaza de España, Alcazar or Museo del Baile Flamenco. Great energy, hard-working students, we´ll hope to see you again!

The practices were a great experience. Especially since they were in another country. I learned various techniques of cutting and drawing patterns. The teachers are very nice and helpful. At the same time, I improved my English skills. The trips to Cadiz and Malaga were also an amazing experience. They are very beautiful cities. There are a lot of smiling and positive people there. We also saw how the preparations for the carnival look like in Cadiz. In our free time we explored a lot on our own. Beautiful and colorful blocks, warm weather and greenery made possible to take aesthetic photos. We will remember this trip deeply. We will brag to our loved one. Gracias.

The whole trip to Spain with my friends was great. I have had the chance to learn something new and different: designing flamenco dresses and getting to know a new culture. During free time I could explore the city, go shopping, try the local cuisine and enjoy the sun. We spent our weekends visiting different cities like Malaga and Cadiz so there was no time for boring.
Our hotel is so pretty and comfy, we had a great rooftop terrace where we can sunbathe, beautiful kitchen, dining room and rooms with balcony. In the company we worked in, we could learn many new things and different techniques. Our teacher is really nice and professional, she taught us how to work easier and better. School looks so modern and classes are well equipped, all these things made us work more comfortable and effective.
