In July 2021, euromind team in Seville welcomed a group of 24 Polish students from Zespol Szkol Nr 3 im. Kombatantow RP in Dzierżoniów. These students were carrying out internships in diverse sectors: logistics, administration and shop assistants.
17 trainees, which took their internship in the grocery stores as logistics technicians. In grocery stores, students had tasks such as organizing food and documents and helping to maintain the store´s space clean. 2 trainees worked in warehouses, where they took care of deliveries by checking the quantity, arranging them on pallets, wrapping in foil and placing in the store.
Another 6 trainees did their practice in the small offices as administrative assistants, where they have been helping with administrative work, taking care of documentation and working in computer programs such as Excel or Word. One student took his internship in a store with sport clothes, where he has been working as a technician of sales and commerce. He had an opportunity to get to know the sales system as well as the newest fashion within sports clothing.
Beyond the activities of their various traineeship, the group participated in various cultural activities. They had the opportunity to visit the city of Seville with the euroMind coordinator. Seville is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and has a lot of charming narrow streets and historical monuments and squares, with Plaza de Espana being the most impressive. Visiting the city, the group learned about the history of the most representative buildings of Seville. They also visited Olhao, a town in Portugal, located on the ocean coast. Olhao is one of the most authentic places in the whole Algarve. The beautiful Center, full of Portuguese tiles called azulejos, a long promenade over the Ocean backwaters and the local market – these are the three main points in this city. They also visited Matalascanas, which is the closest beach town near Seville. They could enjoy the summer weather, sunbathe and try some traditional local seafood.
For each of the students, the internship in Spain was an unforgettable experience which helped them improve their skills but also make friends and get to know Spanish culture. Some of them will definitely come back here soon!

Every morning, we check whether the delivery quantity is consistent with the order quantity, then we help other employees with foiling the goods, or we transport the pallets with cargo to the store to the right place. I work well there, the employees are nice and they are not bothered by our language barrier.

At the beginning of our work, we unload the pallet. Then we go to the warehouse and get rid of the outstanding goods, i.e. put them on store shelves. Then we scan the lined goods and finally unload the pallets. I really like this job. helpful. While working there, I learn Spanish by talking frequently with clients.

My daily duty at work is to add cold drinks and missing goods in the store. In addition, when accepting the delivery, the goods should be distributed according to the FIFO principle. Sometimes I help clients find a product. This work taught me to be independent.
