About This Project

In September 2021, 20 trainees from Sandomierz (Poland) spent their time in Seville for a 3-weeks group training. They practice in fields such as: IT technicians, logistics, administrative assistants and graphic designers.

5 students working as IT technicians were in charge of: service and management of computer hardware and electronic devices, installation, assembly and optimization of the hardware, editing web pages using Word Press and designing and creating images with the use of programs such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Corel. Their host company was an education company dedicated to preparing its students for access to University and above-average degrees.

10 students, practicing in logistics field, had a great opportunity to work in grocery stores, clothing stores or warehouses. Generally, their duties included carrying out inventories, -processing orders, dispatching goods, removing and placing products in the shop and organizing products in the store and in the warehouse areas. They could also observe how a day of a store seller passes and how to organize their time efficiently.

Graphic design students were placed in different companies operating in the printing and advertising sector, specialising in labels, banners, production of advertising materials, wrapping and interior and exterior decoration. Their tasks included conceiving, designing, modifying and creating images using programs such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Corel, familiarizing and participating in the development of projects proposed by the company and projecting designs based on the needs of the client.

During their time in Spain, they got in touch with the Sevillian culture and history through both an amazing Seville tour and they were given very intensive Spanish lessons with our Spanish Teacher. Moreover, they had the opportunity to visit two beautiful cities – Cadiz and Tavira.

Tavira is a charming, traditional and historic town on the eastern side of Algarve, Portugal. The town, proclaimed to be a slow city, is rightly regarded as the most picturesque one in the region of the Algarve. The group visited the centre of Tavira which is filled with numerous churches, historic monuments and traditional buildings, such as the ancient Ponte Romana Bridge and the Praça da Republica square. Further up the hill, the group reached the castle, the ancient Santa Maria church and the colourful Convento da Graça. The last stop on the trip was the Ilha de Tavira which is an island accessible to the town by ferry where group got to enjoy the beautiful beach which stretches over 12km.

We hope students not only could practice their future jobs, but they also had an opportunity to get to know Spanish culture, life in Seville and they could also travel among Andalucía.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Michał Dąbrowski

Through my internship I could get to know the life of local people, their warm climate and peaceful way of life. I am satisfied with the trip and I hope that in the future I will have the opportunity to visit this beautiful country again. Mr. Rafael who took care of me during my internship was very kind and understanding and I thank him for that. He helped me to develop an image of a real job, which is often complicated but still enjoyable and rewarding.

Karolina Kopytowska

I was skeptical about the whole internship at first because I was very stressed, but as soon as we got there, all my fears vanished. I am glad that I could gain experience at work and meet new people and improve my language skills. I also learned Spanish which made my communication with others easier. In addition, I visited a lot of wonderful places, I got to know Spanish culture and tasted the local delicacies. I will definitely remember this trip for a long time and I will miss this place.

Monika Kiljańska

The place where I practiced is a very professional company. The people who work in it are very kind and friendly, always ready to help. It worked very well for me, I learned a lot.
