About This Project

In September 2021, a group of 20 Polish students with three teachers were hosted by euromind in Seville, to carry out a two weeks-long internship placement. Here, they were taking part in a workshop focusing on building buggy vehicles and working with electricity.

Their main tasks included: manufacturing and adjusting elements of the vehicle, fixing and adjusting the parts with welding and screws, carrying out perforation and soldering works, assembling of breaks and direction according to the sketch. They also were in charge of quality control of the steering and brake system, correction if necessary and fabrication of the illumination parts, solar battery charger and solar panel. Students also learned about checking the battery status, charging the battery if necessary, repainting of the surface, edges, chassis, testing the engine controller and analysis of the solar panel orientation. We believe that the workshop was as practical as possible and students learned a lot!

Besides practicing, the students also had an opportunity to discover Sevilla, the capital and the largest city of the autonomous community of Andalusia with euromind´s coordinator. She helped the trainees understand the city from a historical and artistic point of view, but also gave them some shopping and eating tips. The group were shown the best places where they could go and grab something to eat, drink and have fun or just relax and hang out.

They also had a trip to Malaga, the perfect place for history, art and architecture enthusiasts. The city is one of the oldest in the world and it is full of magnificent monuments that will intrigue many art and history lovers. The trainees began to explore the city from the Gibralfaro and Alcazaba Palace, later they saw an old Roman Theatre and the Cathedral. Since Malaga is located on the Costa del Sol (Coast of the Sun) which is considered to be one of the most beautiful coasts in Spain, the group also had the chance to relax on the long and sandy Malagueta Beach by the Mediterranean Sea.

We hope that both teachers and the trainees were fully satisfied with their training and that they gained much needed professional experience abroad which is highly appreciated by today’s employers. Moreover, they got to know Spanish culture and created unforgettable memories!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Kamil Karwot

My stay in Spain was awesome. I enjoyed our tour around Seville and a trip to Málaga, which is definitely worth visiting too. I gained a lot of professional experience during our practice, for example how to fabricate solar battery chargers or test the engine controllers. I would recommend coming to Spain to every student.

Daria Piperek

Seville is a wonderful city. I´m glad I had an opportunity to come here. My practices were very professional and I learned a lot of things I can use in my job in the future, such as building and fixing elements of the vehicle. I really enjoed our trip to Malaga as well and our residence.

Łukasz Banasiak

I have many memories of the beautiful city of Seville, for example, the internship where I learned a lot, or the excursions in my free time which were great. I met a lot of very kind and helpful people. I´d like to come back to this place!
