About This Project

Five students from Belgium came to Málaga in May for an internship in the hospitality sector. During the project, they honed their skills as chefs in exclusive restaurants, which will certainly bear fruit in the future and allow them to build a great career and, who knows, maybe even win a distinction such as a Michelin star(s)?

The students spent three weeks in Spain training in high-standard restaurants, where they quickly gained the trust of their tutors and gained a great deal of autonomy in their activities. And they didn’t disappoint! The abilities and creativity of our students would surprise many, especially considering that they are only students. This bodes exceptionally well for their future.

The students prepared dishes served in restaurants, learned new recipes and improved their teamwork skills, because, as we all know, the end result of a nice dish is the sum of many people’s work.

After their placements, the students attended Spanish classes, which they thoroughly enjoyed, and used the skills they had acquired during the course, including a trip to Córdoba. In addition to learning, there was also time for more relaxed activities, such as a catamaran cruise and attending a flamenco dance show, which delighted the students.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for the further development of our students’ skills and are sure that they will remember their participation in this project with pride in the future!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Thaïs Wende

I loved being there, even if I missed my family. It was a great and unforgettable experience with a great internship location and a great Euromind team. The restaurant I worked in was really nice. I was working hard but it was worth it! The experience I gained is priceless. I recommend everyone to do this experience.

I enjoyed my Erasmus trip, I found it an exceptional experience from a personal and professional point of view. We carried out activities that we could never have carried out in Belgium and which were very valuable. For example, we were able to take a catamaran trip, see a flamenco show or even a visit to Cordoba. My internships were good, despite the language barrier that I am trying to overcome step by step. A real relationship of trust was established between me and the rest of the staff. I would like to thank all the Euromind team who welcomed us in the best possible way.
