About This Project

8 students from Ekonomska škola Šibenik came from Croatia to Úbeda to discover the best of the Andalusian spring. In the meantime, they were placed in local companies for internships in Economics, Administration and Commerce.

For more than two weeks, they were able to manage databases of potential clients, organise important documentation and develop the brand image of the company.

Through these internships they not only developed professionally, but also got to know a foreign environment and a different way of working.

In their free time they participated in many interesting activities, such as tapas night, churro tasting, a visit to the olive oil museum and Spanish classes.

At weekends they were lucky enough to explore the heart of Andalusia on their trips to Cordoba and Seville.

No doubt they will cherish these memories for the rest of their lives.

Working in Ubeda for the last two weeks has been going well for me. When i first came here I did not know what to expect, but as I began working and spending my time here, I can say Ubeda is a very nice place. People here are very kind and open to conversation. Even if they
do not speak English very well, they still try to communicate and make the best of it. My workplace in Grupo Forma is also very nice. It is a relaxed environment and my tutor and other employees are very kind, always ready to help or show me how to do things, and they always
have a smile on their face. This experience was a great opportunity for me to learn about other nations culture as well as expanding my profession knowledge and overall learn how it is to live in a foreign country and adjust to their way of living.

The place where I work is very nice and the atmosphere at work is very pleasant. I am glad that people are not stiff and that they are always ready to provide help if I need it. I expected a good balance of fun and work, and I got that. I am glad that I gained new experiences and
actually saw what my job as an economist will look like in the future. Spain is very beautiful and I am amazed with all the buildings that I saw and I am sure that one day I will come back here and explore Andalucia even better.
