About This Project

A group of 21 students from Școala Națională de Gaz Mediaș spent three beautiful weeks in Málaga, where they had the opportunity to develop their professional skills and language competencies in Costa del Sol. Students worked as hospitality technicians and were able to practice their skills in hotels around Málaga and Torremolinos. They learned more about tourism in Spain and gained experience in Spanish cuisine. The group was very hard-working and received a lot of praise from their employers.

During these 3 weeks, they visited amazing places like Mijas, known for its burro taxi and beautiful panoramic view over Costa del Sol. They also went on a trip to Benalmadena and Granada, where they got to visit to the beautiful Alhambra.

We are sure they spent amazing time in Spain would like to come back here some day!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Bogdan Vasile Căpâlnean

I wanted to come to Spain because it is a beautiful country and I wanted to learn about its traditions. Thanks to this internship my dream finally came true. During the internship, I was working as a cook. I learned a lot of useful tricks and hacks in the restaurant. The chiefs were really nice and always ready to help us with any doubts that were bothering us. Apart from learning, with our group, we had a chance to get to know the region of Andalusia. We went on trips to Mijas and Benalmadena, where we took part in chocolate workshops. Then we also visited Granada, where we were exploring the city and the amazing Alhambra. It was a really great time, I will always remember it.

I chose to come to Spain because it is a unique opportunity for me and I wanted to learn new things, know a new culture, and adapt to a new life abroad, I worked at the reception, and I had many responsibilities from how much I learned something, for example, check-out, check-in and much more. I really liked this experience, I would like to return to Spain in the future, I am glad that I had the chance to participate in this project. Thank you!

Radu Mihai Ovedenie

I am happy that I could be a part of this experience. During the internship, while working with our mentors at the hotel, I learned a lot of useful advice when it comes to the hospitality sector. Classes were really valuable for me, and I think they will be useful for my future profession and career. During our free time we were going to the beach or to the city center. I really liked the trips to Granada and Mijas. It showed us a little bit of Spanish culture, cuisine, and people. This memory will be in my memory for a long time, and it will always be nice to go back to this time.
