About This Project

In February 2019, euroMind welcomed a group of 10 students from Croatia. They came to Seville with an aim to extend their knowledge and develop their skills in the field of mobile app programming.

Participants had a group training in a bilingual education center with over 30 years of experience in vocational training in the following fields: electricity, electronics, administration, computer science and trade.

During their internship that lasted 3 weeks, the students were introduced to the basics of programming mobile devices and could carry out several tasks such as designing and implementing Android applications for mobile phones, creating interfaces, testing the application template on the emulator and on the device, using built-in hardware components of mobile devices application such as: camera, camcorder, media player, GPS receiver, compass, stopwatch, designing and maintaining database in mobile app using database structures and SQL to update and modify data, executing geolocation technologies, GoogleMaps and Navigation Drawer.

As part of their training, the group had a study visit in a center which offers acceleration programs for start-ups from highly innovative sectors that are dealing with ICT technologies. The students became knowledgeable about technologies used by supported teams working in the company.

Besides their training, all participants got the chance of enjoying several cultural activities organized by euroMind. They had a Seville tour with one of our tour guides, took trips to Cadiz and Malaga and not only saw a real flamenco show but also participated in a 20-minute flamenco dance masterclass.

We trust that the professional and cultural experience they gained here in Spain will be an asset to shape & better their future.

Erasmus+ project showed me what does it mean to be diligent and persistent in school. Euromind and the host institution gave me an opportunity to work outside my country, in a new environment, with new people, new language… For our effort in school, for our achievements they gave us a chance to do Professional Practice in Seville, Spain! It was such a great experience. The most important thing was the practice – I hoped for the best and I get best of the best, just amazing! 3 weeks of studying, 3 weeks of constant hard work on developing mobile apps, 3 weeks of hanging out with the best professor I have ever met, Miguel. His way of teaching is so easy, so delicate and so professional! It was an amazing experience that I will remember the rest of my life. They gave me an opportunity to fly with a plane, to meet new people, live on my own, alongside with the practice that is clearly my future. Big thanks to EuroMind, Erasmus+, our teachers and our leader Ramona for making our stay the best one, and for making me see what does it mean to work abroad, with new people and to work a lot on new ways. I honestly hope that I will repeat this journey, sometime in the future!

There is no other way to describe this trip but as the best I’ve ever had, and probably the best trip I’ll ever have… for free, lol. I’m kidding, but only about this last part. The first part is true, it really was awesome, and I really want to repeat it in the future. The company was great, trainings were awesome, the teacher was super smart and good, Spain is so beautiful, full of colors and happy people and I just loved it. I still do love it. This was an amazing opportunity, and I’m really thankful for giving it to me. I’ve learned so much in these three weeks that I would never learn in school. Hope to see you again in the future. Muchas gracias y adios!
