About This Project

In September a group of 20 students from Stanislaw Staszica school complex No. 1, together with their teachers were hosted by euroMind in Malaga to gain a 3-weeks internship as a 3D printing operator and car mechanic.

Students were working on the different tusk, for example, 3D printing operators were operating and monitoring machines for cutting, drilling, and polishing plastic and metal. Placing and at the end of the process removing the piece of plastic and metal from the 3D printer and from the machine. Cleaning, lubricating, and carrying out maintenance of the machinery. Using software to design pieces. Creating 3D models and discussing their limitations. Exporting, processing, and repairing files. Using manufacturing programs, for example, 3D Mesh. Coordinating and preparing the 3D printer for PLA printing and ABS printing. Designing and programming parts to produce the necessary support structures.

Car mechanics were helping with the installation and replacement of car air conditioning. Assisting in aligning and repairing wheels. Assisting in inspecting and testing new vehicles to detect potential faults. Helping in lifting the vehicle to a specified level, using a hydraulic jack. Disassembling units such as engines, gearbox, es etc. using manual or electric tools. Performing basic services and repair activities related to car servicing, i.e., oil and filters change, defective parts replacement, washing of the engine, and other car components. Evaluating the quality of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle equipment operations

During their stay in Malaga, the trainees not only developed their work skills, but they also took part in different cultural activities such as Malaga tour, Malaga Boat Trip Catamaran, and workshops which allowed them to get acquainted with Spanish culture and feel like Spanish people in the city of Malaga.

The trainees also had the opportunity to travel around the Andalucía region and see the amazing village Ronda. During the day-trip, the students were able to see the beautiful scenery surrounding Ronda including its well-preserved old town which has Arab Baths, defense walls, and small churches.

Apart from cities, students have visited one of the most beautiful places in Andalucía – Caminito del Rey. Is a walkway across The Gorge Desfiladero de Los Gaitanes which is a natural gorge, situated in the center of the province, between the towns of Alora, Antequera, and Ardales.

The group got an intensive Spanish course with a highly educated teacher from euroMind, which helped them to understand the culture, communicate with local people and make new friends.
EuroMind team hopes that the experience which trainees had in Malaga will be unforgettable.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

In my opinion our trip to Malaga is the best trip I have ever been to. The city is beautiful. The food is excellent. The weather could not be better. And furthermore, we are participating in very exciting and entertaining apprenticeship. Now I can use the newest technology in order to improve my knowledge. Also, we are taking part in many sightseeing trips to Ronda, Mijas or Nerja. I experienced unforgettable views of the local nature, like the huge mountains or beautiful sunset by the sea. I think it is one of the best events in my life.

The first thing that catches your eye in Spain is the weather, and this is the best thing here. The atmosphere is wonderful here. The hotel is nice. You can eat well here. We also have a spacious terrace with a view of the mountains and a TV room. The place of the internship is professionally equipped, and the bosses are very friendly. We travel a lot and these trips are interesting. In addition, we sunbathe on the beach, which is not far from the hotel. I like it very much. I recommend it to anyone who is thinking about getting here.

When it comes to Spaniards it is a beautiful and warm country. People are nice and kind. The tours are interesting and fascinating. They show the architecture and traditions of Spain. The food is different compare to Poland, but it is worth trying as it may surprise you with its taste. The hotel is also different from those in Poland, but it has a warm atmosphere, which is why I became very close to it. As for Ronde and Mijas, there are interesting places where you can admire beautiful views and learn some facts. Overall, the whole thing is a plus and I would recommend this type of project to others with a smile.
