In September, 12 students from Fundacja Możesz Wiecej, Poland, arrived in Málaga with a great will to gain some new perspectives on what is a typical work day of a car mechanic in Spain.
The group was divided into two teams, each of four students. Every team had an internship in a car shop, which mainly involved car repair. They have removed and installed diverse components of the engines and evaluated the quality of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment operations.
Participants of the project learned how to work in Spanish mechanical workshops and how to communicate with co-workers despite a language barrier, and with time, they managed to overcome this small obstacle!
During their two-week stay in Spain, the students used their time wisely and visited most museums of Malaga. Besides that, the group visited one of the most famous cities of Andalusia – Córdoba, where they have been able to take a stroll by the river of Guadalquivir and see the most beautiful architecture – Mezquita Cathedral, The Roman Bridge, and others.
The group had an amazing time and they learned a lot during their 2- week stay in Malaga. Every participant was really happy and grateful for the possibility of doing their practice in Spain, especially in Malaga.

I did my internship at a small car workshop. It was a small establishment, but very professional! We mainly dealt with diagnostics and repair of faults in vehicles, such as the replacement of shock absorbers or replacement of brakes. It was my task to check the condition of the fluids after each repair and top up if necessary. In Spain, there is a nice and calm atmosphere during internships and the repairs are done slowly but very carefully! I was very happy to be there!

I wanted to go to Spain for an internship to see and compare my work in a Polish car repair shop and in a Spanish one. I was positively surprised by the culture of the Spanish people and their approach to a foreign person. We spent our free time exploring Malaga and learned about various interesting places and monuments, which showed us the history and culture of the region. My tasks at work were regular activities in vehicle mechanics as well as the final washing and cleaning of cars. I really liked this experience and can recommend it to everyone.
