About This Project

The 11 Croatian students from the school Industrijsko-obrtnička škola Šibenik (Industry and Crafts School Šibenik) in Šibenik,Croatia came to the city of Sevilla in beautiful Andalusia for two weeks. During this period they devoted their practice in the field of solar energy. The students were recognizing the qualities of solar energy and the risks of working with solar energy.  Also they were gathering the panels in series and in parallel, and checking its parameters and assembling plumbing installation with the solar pump and a solar lamp with twilight switch.

During the practice the students got the knowledge about the solar energy units and the geographic coordinate system. The trainee knows the different uses of solar energy. They gained skills with different types of controllers, its programming and functioning and how to differentiate between various types of photovoltaic cells.

Students enjoyed a lot this internship, but they  also found out that the installation of these solar panels is not easy at all! And especially in Seville because of the high temperatures!

However, their stay was not just about solar panels, but during their free time and at weekend they could get to know the beauty of Andalusia and visit various cities like Cadiz or Malaga.

We believe that you have gained a lot of new experiences!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Filip Begić

I really liked the city of Seville and the people I was surrounded by the city has many beautiful cathedrals, really something that will make me remember Seville as a very beautiful city. Also Málaga and Cádiz are also beautiful but Malaga is more beautiful to me really a great selection of just one of the most beautiful beaches where i have ever been perfect. The rooms in the hostel are good and company but the food is a bad part of the hostel but it is edible anyway (a little meat missing). I had a lot of fun in practice and I could learn a lot and the teacher explained a lot and was helpful, I really have no complaints, it’s a very good practice. I’m happy to be here!

Im student of the Industrial-Crafts School in Šibenik, I attend plumbers, my school is very reputable and a lot is learned in it. Accommodation in Seville is good and I am very satisfied, the food is ok, it depends on who likes. I like exercising the most here because it interests me the most. The professor taught us a lot. A city like Seville is very beautiful and has a lot of sights and beautiful parks. The people here are very polite and calm. I think this project for learning how to install solar panels is great and very instructive.
