About This Project

In January 2022, a group of 18 students from Zielona Góra arrived in Seville to carry out a 3 weeks-long internship in different sectors. Students get an opportunity to practice with professional tutors and learn new information about their jobs, also they were lucky to live in other culture and discover other cities in Andalucia.

All students get a unique experience in different positions, during the internship they were getting a variety of tasks, which helped them to improve their knowledge about their jobs. Here they were working as Hairdressers, Cooks, Photographer assistants, Graphic designers.

Photographer assistants were observing the photo session and video recording. Assisting a photographer in his/her work. Editing pictures with photo editing tools. Determining methods of image capturing with respect to aesthetic canons. Receiving clients in the studio. Drawing, creating, and editing collages for clients. Assisting in photo retouch.

Offering clients services that meet the objectives of projects and justifying proposals in line with the knowledge of the trainee. Conceiving, producing, and managing visual communication projects. Getting to know the latest technologies used in the graphic design sector.

During their stay in Malaga, the trainees not only developed their work skills but also took part in different cultural activities, they have visited Ronda, Granada.
Granada is the city of three religions and cultures: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The great variety of stunning landscapes and views that Granada has to offer since the city is located at the foot of a mountain range called the Sierra Nevada.

Ronda is a charming village located in the Andalusian mountains. During the day-trip, the students were able to see the beautiful scenery surrounding Ronda including its well-preserved old town which has Arab Baths, defense walls, and small churches. The trainees also got to visit the World’s oldest bullfighting ring which is used only once a year, and they learned about the history of this controversial tradition in the bullring’s museum.

Students get sufficient Spanish courses with our Spanish teacher, we emphasize practice, so during lessons students play a lot, because we think the game is the best teacher. Spanish classes can be described in two words: dynamic and practical. That is why, after intensive and hard learning, the students had written an exam. All the participants passed with very good results!

3 weeks in Malaga were surely an unforgettable experience, we hope students gained a lot of practical knowledge and skills and that some of them might have enjoyed Spain that much they would like to come back there in the future!

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Malwina Blachowska

I am very satisfied with my work. The hours are perfect and the atmosphere is very friendly. We are provided with both education and some entertainment which is of course very much to the good. The boss is very nice and understanding and can explain everything in a calm manner. Communication is very good despite language differences.

I loved working in Malaga. Working with Marco was nice and he taught us very important and interesting things. Now I know how to better edit my photos. He showed us how to work with models. I want to use everything in my work as a photographer.

We worked a lot in the studio during the internship, which allowed us to perfect our ability to use flash lamps. There was always a cheerful atmosphere there. We also went out for field photos and the lady took us to various interesting places. We were also with her in the photo lab where she
showed us how to create albums and develop photos. We also selected and printed photos that we took during the internship.
