About This Project

Polish students program apps for Android mobile devices

On the 3rd of January, 16 Polish trainees arrived in Seville, ready for two intensive practise weeks developing apps. During their stay, they learnt how to install and configure IDE (Eclipse), they created their first Android project “Hello World!”, learnt how to install and configure software of Emulation on Virtual mobile devices (Genymotion), learnt how to use implicit Intent for the launching of actions that are external to the app, and many more.

Next to that, they were able to enjoy a visit to an IT company, they were given Spanish classes and visited one of the most famous cities of Andalusia: Cordoba! They were also shown around the city in Seville.

All students had a very good experience abroad and returned home with new knowledge, skills and ideas.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Jankowski Kamil:

‘Practical training in Sevilla is a very good experience. I learned a lot about developing apps for mobiles in Java. For a student like me it’s a very good opportunity to learn something that I can use in the future.’

Magdalena Foltyńska:

In my opinion this is a great idea to increase my developing skills in IT. My school doesn’t include in its learning program app development for Android. For me as an IT student it’s a great opportunity to learn something new.’
