About This Project

8 Polish students from Koszalin did an internship in Seville, working as Logisticians and CNC Operators. During their four weeks´ work experience, they developed their professional abilities and new skills in local companies. They carried out several tasks, such as:

  • Operating and monitoring machines for cutting, drilling and polishing plastic and metal;
  • Cleaning, lubricating and carrying out maintenance of the machine;
  • Operating CNC Machines;
  • Moving pallets and boxes to the store with the use of manual pallet truck;
  • Opening cases of merchandise and sorting products;
  • Placing all products in the warehouse (use staircase to access to shelves);

All of the participants fell in love with the Spanish culture and language, that they could discover during the Spanish class. They visited, almost always, sunny Seville during a Seville Tour and taste some local specialties during a Tapas night. They also had the opportunity to visit the Maestranza Bullring. They came to Sevilla to visit Andalusia and Spain during some trips to Granada and Cadiz, but they also went on a trip to Gibraltar where they met some very smart monkeys (who actually robbed some food from our students and teachers!). Beyond this, the Polish trainees could participate in an interesting workshop about the professional image on the labour market.

We hope that our trainees learned many things during their stay that everything will be useful for their future work and private life. Surely, they will remember this experience with a smile on the face.

PARTICIPANTS’ OPINIONS

Karolina Mankowska 2Karolina Anna Mańkowska

During my stay in Sevilla, I did a monthly internship in the company “Taller Mecanizado Vicente Martinez” located in nearby Valdezorras. I think that the apprenticeship was successful because of the friendly atmosphere prevailing in the plant and open-minded and helpful employees. First of all, I learned a lot, gained confidence, broke communication barriers, met interesting people, and became more independent. I thank my boss for bringing me Spanish culture and tradition and for his great sense of humor. I will remember them very well, and the knowledge gained in practice will be useful during upcoming professional exams and in further education. The stay in Sevilla itself was also interesting beyond the work in the company. The residence where I lived with my group was modern, spacious. Everything worked fine, except episodes of cold water. Rooms were nice and comfortable. The service was a plus, all problems were solved on a regular basis. We praise the wonderful cook Laura: she made a lot of effort for us, I appreciate it! In addition, a very rich cultural program, i.e. a trip to Granada, Cadiz and Gibraltar plus a tour of Seville (including Tapas evening) allowed me to get to know the culture, monuments, climate and to taste Spanish delicacies. I will be pleased to remember the internship I have completed here and I will happily come back next time.

Angelica Parus 2Angelika Małgorzata  Parus:

I had an apprenticeship at BonitaRides – a sports clothing store placed in Seville.
During the monthly internship I learned how to fill in the warehouse documents, correct the website containing the products for sale, prepare the goods for shipment and how is functioning the company.
Practice in the company took place in a very nice atmosphere, the owner and the employee took a special care of me. They explained how to perform each task, patiently and with commitment forgiving every mistake I made. I will certainly be able to use the acquired skills and I recommend this company to other apprentices.
